Rooted in more than six decades of hard work, innovation, compassion, and love established by its late founder, Edward “Eddie” S. Garcia, The Garcia Companies today announced a planned leadership transition designed to ensure continuity, stability, and long term growth.
Effective March 1, 2026, Josh Kellam assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, and Andrea Kilmer transitioned from CEO to Chairman of the Board of Trustees. This transition reflects a thoughtful, long-term succession plan and underscores the strength and maturity of the organization.
As the organization enters its next chapter, it does so with a deep respect for that legacy and a shared commitment to carrying it forward with purpose and integrity.
“This transition represents continuity, not a change in direction,” said Andrea. “Our strategy, values, and commitment to our people and the communities we serve remain strong. I am confident in Josh’s leadership and look forward to supporting him and the organization in my role as Chairman.”
As Chairman, Andrea will focus on governance and strategic oversight at the board level, working closely with Josh and the Board of Trustees to support the company’s long-term vision. Andrea brings more than 40 years of leadership experience to the role and remains deeply committed to the organization’s success.
Josh added, “It’s an honor to step into the CEO role and to continue building on the strong foundation Andrea has established. I’m grateful for her mentorship and partnership, and I look forward to leading our talented team as we move into the next chapter of growth.”
In connection with this transition, Sam Meekins moved from General Counsel to Senior Advisor to the Chairman, continuing to provide strategic counsel.
