Garcia is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristopher Nickerson as Vice President of Development and Construction. In this role, Kris will lead the company’s Construction and Development division, a critical arm of the business responsible for preparing agricultural properties for large-scale water conservation initiatives and the future development of solar energy facilities. Kris will oversee a team of seasoned professionals and work closely with clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal division leaders to ensure operational excellence and the successful delivery of projects.
Kris brings over 22 years of experience in the construction management industry, with a strong track record of leading large-scale, complex projects and building high-performing teams. He is recognized as a leader in the field and is passionate about project planning, scheduling, and Lean construction practices. He holds a CM-Lean certification from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
Prior to joining Garcia, Kris spent more than a decade at Skanska USA Building, Inc., where he managed a wide portfolio of high-profile construction projects beginning in 2010. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction Management from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Originally from New York and raised in Satellite Beach, Florida, Kris began his career in Phoenix, Arizona, where he successfully led major technology-sector projects before returning to Florida in 2013.
