Job Summary

The IT Systems Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business applications, automated workflows, and digital solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform. This role works closely with business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and deliver scalable solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 technologies. In addition to application development responsibilities, the position provides day-to-day IT support and assists with technology initiatives across the organization.

 

Role / Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Apps to support operational and business requirements.
  • Create, manage, and optimize Power Automate workflows to automate manual processes, approvals, notifications, and data movement between systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze and document existing workflows, identifying opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, forms, and related Microsoft 365 solutions that support business operations.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, Business Central, and other business systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and connected business applications.
  • Manage application security, and user access within the Microsoft Power Platform environment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, process maps, and application specifications.
  • Train users on new applications, workflows, and business process improvements to ensure successful adoption.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support, including hardware, software, printer, mobile device, and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, account administration, device deployment, and other IT operational functions.
  • Stay up to date on Microsoft Power Platform advancements, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related technologies.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application and system issues.
  • Experience working with data sources, business systems integrations, and workflow automation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of application security, permissions management, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and end-user support.

Experience / Skills Desired

  • At least three years of experience developing solutions within Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience with Dataverse, Power BI, and Power Platform administration.
  • Experience integrating Microsoft Power Platform solutions with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, APIs, or data integration technologies.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications preferred.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Annual compensation within this range ($83,000 – $97,300) will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and demonstrated capabilities. Placement within the range will vary accordingly, and candidates should not expect to automatically enter the position at the top of the posted range.
