Project Manager - Fort Pierce, FL

Role / Responsibilities

• Promotes a culture of safety and enforces safety protocols on all job sites.
• Plans and manages borrow site projects from start to finish.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in planning, prioritizing, and directing project activities to achieve schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contractual objectives.
• Evaluates project conditions, risks, schedule impacts, cost issues, and operational challenges and determines appropriate corrective actions within the scope of assigned authority.
• Leads project kickoff meetings, schedules, and coordination of field operations.
• Prepares and maintains project budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasts.
• Reviews project costs, forecasts, and potential variances and recommends or implements corrective actions to maintain project financial objectives.
• Develops and maintains construction schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Makes day-to-day project decisions regarding scheduling, sequencing of work, resource coordination, and resolution of project issues without requiring routine supervisory approval.
• Coordinates with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.
• Evaluates subcontractor and vendor performance and addresses performance, scheduling, quality, and contractual concerns as appropriate.
• Performs regular site visits to monitor work progress and ensure safety compliance.
• Resolves conflicts or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Reviews and evaluates RFIs, submittals, change conditions, and change orders and makes recommendations or decisions within assigned authority.
• Escalates matters requiring senior-management approval while independently resolving routine and moderately complex project matters within established authority.
• Ensures quality control and document all inspections and approvals.
• Maintains communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned projects and represents the Company in communications with clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Generates reports on project status, changes, risks, and progress.
• Represent Garcia with high integrity, a team-oriented perspective, and emphasis on successful relationship building, consistent with core values.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
